Mandatory Senior-Parent Meeting 

on Sep 22nd 6 – 7pm via MS Teams


Sep 1st  – first silver day classes in-person for all A studentsB Group students will be learning synchronously from home. (buses run like normal)

Sep 2ndAVC 7th - 9th grade MAPS testing virual

Sept 8thAVC Accountability Committee 6pm - 8 virtual Please email leslie.smith-darling@asd20.org to join

Sept 15thAVMS Hope Acadmey 6pm - 7 virtual

Sep 17thfirst HS grade day – only HS students who aren't passing classes should be on campus.  MS runs as normal (buses run like normal)

Sept 18thfirst AVC hexter Professional Learning Day – no students.  (no AVC buses)


Love and Logic Parent Workshops 

These Saturday workshops are for all new AVC families.  The AVC enrollment contract stipulates that parents will attend at least three of these workshops.  Join Mr. Thomas and other parents to learn more and better ways to parent through the often-complicated adolescent years. RSVP to Leslie.Smith-Darling@asd20.org

Academy District 20 created Aspen Valley to ensure that all students have a community. At Aspen Valley Campus we walk side by side with students and families because we know that every student can be successful and deserves opportunities regardless of their differences. We accept students for who they are and help them discover their strengths and passions while building skills for graduation and life success.


What makes us unique and a better choice?


Teacher - Student Relationships:

  • 15 Students to 1 Teacher Ratio
  • Total of 120 Students Total
  • Mentor and Mentee Program built into the schedule
  • Pro-active use of student planner for communication and accountability

School Done Alternatively
  • Open Campus for High School Students
  • 8:55 - 4:15 daily schedule for a later start time and a better night sleep
  • Hexter Schedule instead of Quarter Schedule
  • Enrichment/Intervention period built into weekly schedule
  • We work with neighborhood schools for extra-curricular involvement such as Sports and Clubs
  • Added Graduation Requirements:
    • 180 hours of work experience or job shadowing
    • 72 hours of Community Service
    • Complete one college course
    • Complete CPR training, Research Project and Voter Registration

  2. On the left side bar click on the arrow next to Other calendars, then select Add by URL:

  4. Press 'Add Calendar'.
  5. You should now see the Calendar calendar in your Other calendars list.
